Hi, I'm Steven. My tutoring style focuses on finding the most efficient ways to teach each student. I understand that each student learns differently, so I create a lesson plan that caters to their needs. I encourage my students to ask questions, and I do my best to make my students feel comfortable enough to do so. It is important to me that my students feel welcome, and I take the time to develop a friendly relationship with them. I am a very patient, positive, caring, and understanding person.As far as education, I recently earned my bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Mathematics from Purdue University. While I was a senior at Purdue, I worked as a TA and a lab instructor. As a lab instructor I taught a class of twenty students on my own. I prepared and presented background information to my students, ran the lab sessions, assisted during lab, answered questions, and graded lab reports. This experience was both enjoyable and rewarding for me. I decided after doing this that I wanted to become a teacher. I feel that my time as a lab instructor developed my communication and teaching skills in a way that will benefit my future clients. When I am not teaching, you can find me hiking and camping, I love the outdoors. I also can be found watching and playing sports, reading, gardening, and cooking.
